California
Childhelp has a long history of making a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children in California:
In
1978, Childhelp developed a residential treatment facility exclusively
for severely abused children—The Childhelp Merv Griffin Village in Beaumont,
California. Along with its excellent therapeutic programs, the village
incorporated innovative programs such as art and animal assisted
therapy. More than 20 years later, it continues to serve as a model for
rehabilitating the lives of abused and neglected children ages 5
through 14. In addition to The Childhelp Merv Griffin Village,
Childhelp California operates three smaller residential community group
homes and a foster family agency. Children under the care of Childhelp
benefit from a continuum of care ranging from intensive therapeutic
treatment to family stabilization. The integration of these programs
allows for close monitoring of a child's progress and development to
ensure the most successful outcome. More California Programs and Services
