Professional Training

Childhelp offers a variety of training programs at several locations.

Arizona

A range of affordable seminars and workshops geared to child welfare caseworkers, medical personnel, fire professionals and the law enforcement community are held throughout the year in the metro Phoenix area. Past topics have included Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) and burn identification. Information: Call the Childhelp Children's Center of Arizona at (602) 271-4500.

In partnership with Boys Town of Southern California, training is offered to foster families and caretakers of abused and neglected children including babysitters. Information: Contact the Childhelp Western Regional Office in Hollywood at (323) 465-4016.

Georgia

Trainers are available throughout the year to train new Facilitators in Good-Touch/Bad-Touch®.  We have a variety of training opportunities to best meet the needs of both public and private schools, advocacy centers, law enforcement, mental and public health professionals, and child protective service workers.

Trainings can be scheduled at your site or we have regularly scheduled training opportunities as promoted on our Calendar, Good-Touch/Bad-Touch®

Virginia

The Child Abuse Recognition & Response (CARR) program offered in northern Virginia and the greater Washington, D.C. area provides one, four or eight-hour training seminars and lectures to professionals who work with children, including school teachers, counselors, police, and doctors.
